Amino Acid Chelates
Express® ZINC
Premium zinc amino acid chelate.
- pH 4.25
- SG 1.26
Premium zinc amino acid chelate.
Key Benefits:
- Helps to correct and prevent zinc deficiency.
- Suitable for foliar, in-furrow and fertigated applications.
- Small molecule, readily absorbed by the leaf via stomata and tissue.

Express® ZINC is used in a wide range of crops to correct and prevent ZINC deficiency. For horticultural, broadacre and viticulture production where zinc deficiency may occur, Express® ZINC can be applied via foliar, in furrow or fertigated.
Zinc is vital for carbohydrates and chlorophyll formation, as well as key growth hormones such as auxins. It also plays a key role in root development, starch formation and water movement in plants. Canola, cereals, tree crops and vegetables are particularly sensitive to zinc deficiency.
The most effective way to apply Express® ZINC is via foliar application; however, it is suitable for in-furrow and fertigated applications as well as chelates, which minimise reactions in the soil solution, resulting in available nutrients for a longer period.
Zinc deficiency:
Zinc deficiency mostly occurs in sandy soils that are low in organic matter, high pH soils, organic soils (peats) and over-limed soils. Uptake of zinc can be adversely affected by high levels of available iron (Fe) and by increased soil pH. Crops that are particularly sensitive to zinc deficiency include potatoes, cereals, vines and fruit crops grown on high pH sandy soils.
Zinc deficiency symptoms include:
- Interval chlorosis on broad leaf, with yellowing between veins.
- Stiff, small leaves form clusters or rosettes due to shortened internodes.
- Yellow or brown patches on new growth.
- Patchy appearance of the crop.
- Brown necrotic spots on the leaves.
- Poor yield / low protein.
- Poor seed set – young tillers may die before setting seed.
